Tesla wraps forWest Virginia owners.

West Virginia is a long state and where you are in it changes the answer completely. The Eastern Panhandle — Martinsburg, Charles Town, Harpers Ferry — is barely an hour from the studio and is effectively a local trip. Charleston is closer to five hours, Morgantown around three and a half, and Huntington further still. We do not run mobile installation anywhere in West Virginia, so the studio is the route, and the drive is the whole question.

Appointments only. Location details are provided after your appointment is confirmed.

Worth the drive

The Panhandle is local. The rest is a real trip.

From Martinsburg or Charles Town, Ashburn is about an hour on Route 9 — closer than most of the Virginia towns we name. From Morgantown it is three and a half; from Charleston about five; from Huntington nearer six. We are not going to describe a five-hour drive as convenient. What we will say is that the usual argument against traveling — that a good local installer beats a better distant one you cannot easily return to — assumes there is a good local installer. In much of this state there is not, and that changes the math rather than settling it.

For West Virginia owners

What matters here

The Eastern Panhandle is not a road trip

If you are in Martinsburg, Charles Town, Shepherdstown or Harpers Ferry you are closer to the studio than a lot of our Virginia customers. Drop it, drive home, come back in two or three days. Treat yourself as local, because you are.

We do not travel here, and we will not imply we do

The markets we travel to are DC, Maryland and Virginia, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Delaware, West Palm Beach and Los Angeles. West Virginia is not one of them at any distance, Panhandle included. If a page ever suggests otherwise to you, it is wrong.

Mountain roads and the front end

Gravel, grit and winter treatment on two-lane roads are harder on a front end than highway miles are. If protecting the paint matters more than changing the color, 3M™ Protection Wrap Film is the film that does that — it is a different product and a different price from vinyl, and we would rather point you at the right one.

Models

What we wrap

Cybertruck, Model 3 and Model Y. Those three are what we take, and doing the same three repeatedly is how you learn where each one fights a wrap before it happens on somebody’s car.

Film

What we use

Three services: a color change in premium 3M™ or Avery Dennison® vinyl from $6,000, 3M™ Protection Wrap Film — paint protection film in color — from $10,000, and Avery Dennison® Conform Chrome from $15,000. Partial coverage — a roof, a hood, accent panels — is priced per project. No bargain vinyl, no mystery materials.

Turnaround

How long it takes

Most projects run two to three days with the car, and a larger one can run to seven, depending on project scope — the model, full versus partial coverage, removal of any existing wrap, custom graphics, and the film and finish selected. Your estimated completion time is confirmed with your quote and appointment.

Concierge

If the drive doesn’t work

Concierge collection is coming soon and is not available yet. The idea is that Raoul collects your Tesla personally, brings it to the studio and returns it — driven, with the odometer and condition photographed at your address before it moves. What is holding it up is coverage: driving a customer’s car is the one thing we do where the absence of a commercial policy genuinely matters, so it opens when that is in place and not before.

Until then the studio in Ashburn is the route, and mobile installation is not an option here — we do not travel to this market, and we are not going to imply otherwise.

If traveling to a studio does not work at all, our Travel Wrap program runs limited destination installation events in select markets. Dates are limited and subject to sufficient demand, project approval and facility availability.

Coming from out of state

We don’t travel here. Here’s how the drive works.

West Virginia is not one of the markets we travel to, so the studio is the route. We have written up the whole trip — how long we keep the car, why an out-of-state car goes to the front of the queue and stays there, where people stay, and what we do not arrange for you.

And if you would rather we came to West Virginia: say so. Markets get added when enough people ask for the same one, so a request that goes nowhere today is still the thing that decides where we go next.

FAQ

West Virginia questions

Do you travel to West Virginia?

No. Not to Charleston, not to Morgantown, and not to the Eastern Panhandle either — being close is not the same as being a market we run. The studio in Ashburn is open to you and that is the honest answer. If you would like us to come to West Virginia, say so on the travel request form; markets get added when enough people ask for the same one.

How far is Ashburn from Charleston?

About five hours, and roughly six from Huntington. Morgantown is closer to three and a half, and the Eastern Panhandle is about an hour. Those are four genuinely different decisions and we would rather give you your own number than a state-wide average that fits nobody.

Is it worth driving five hours for a wrap?

Sometimes, and we will tell you when it is not. For a straightforward color change, if there is a shop within an hour of you doing careful work, use it — ask them for close-ups of edges, jambs and seams on a car they finished, not glamour shots. Where the drive starts to make sense is when there is genuinely nothing near you, or for Conform Chrome, which is the least forgiving film there is and the one where local repetition is hardest to find.

What happens if something goes wrong and I am five hours away?

The twelve-month workmanship commitment does not shrink with distance. Photograph it and text it — diagnosis is remote, free and usually same day, and most concerns are settled from a photo. If it is our workmanship the repair does not cost you. Getting the car and the installer into the same place is the part with a cost, and over that distance we agree it with you case by case and put it in writing for your project rather than pointing at a rule we have not written.
