Why Tesla Wrapper

Seven things you can actually check.

Tesla, specifically

Cybertruck, Model 3 and Model Y — not every make that turns up. The three we work on constantly.

Premium materials only

3M™ and Avery Dennison® automotive film, bought through Grimco, their own distributor. No mystery vinyl.

Exterior transformation

Color change, protection film and chrome. A narrow menu, done properly — and we say plainly what we do not do.

One vehicle at a time

Your car is the project in the bay, not a slot in a queue.

A controlled installation space

Indoors, gated, camera-monitored, lit for the work and held at temperature.

Our own work, only

Every photograph on this site is a car we wrapped. No stock, no renders, no borrowed portfolio.

Project coordination

Documented at intake, updated by text at real milestones, walked with you in daylight before you take it.

Training & experience

Where the hands-on training came from.

Wrap training attended in person, with the manufacturer and with the distributor we buy film through.

  • 3M Wrap TrainingBaltimore, MarylandJuly 2024

    Participation certificate.

  • 3M Wrap TrainingOrlando, FloridaJune 2025

    Participation certificate.

  • Grimco Headquarters TrainingPennsylvaniaJuly 2024

Wrap-industry training attended at Grimco headquarters.

These are participation certificates from training courses attended. They are not certifications, accreditation or a qualification, and they do not mean Tesla Wrapper is certified, endorsed, authorized by, approved by or partnered with 3M or Grimco. Grimco is the distributor we buy 3M™ and Avery Dennison® film through — a supply relationship, nothing more.

It is one part of the experience, not the whole of it. The work in the gallery is the rest.

Invention

Founded by an inventor.Wrapped by hand.

Tesla Wrapper was founded by Raoul Shah, named inventor on 4 issued United States patents totalling 62 claims. The numbers are below — they are public documents, so you can read them yourself rather than take our word for it.

  • US 12,643,243AutoWrap Robotics: AI platform for automated vehicle surface treatment using humanoid robots
  • US 12,649,240AutoWrap Robotics: AI-led platform for automated vehicle treatment using humanoid robots
  • US 12,511,598AutoWrap Robotics: humanoid AI for autonomous vehicle service centers
  • US 12,507,946AI-driven dermatological imaging and predictive simulation platform for pigment and lesion reduction

The patents referenced here are assigned to AutoWrap Robotics LLC, a separate company founded by the same inventor. Tesla Wrapper does not own them.

Every vehicle Tesla Wrapper installs is wrapped by a person, by hand. The technology below is what AutoWrap Robotics is building — it is not what wraps your car.

These are issued United States patents. No foreign counterparts are claimed.

Where we’ve been

Frederick, Maryland. 2024.

Before Ashburn, the shop ran out of Frederick, Maryland from January 2024 to January 2025.

We were wrapping Cybertrucks in the first months they were on the road.

Tesla started putting Cybertrucks in customers’ hands through 2024, and we were among the shops wrapping them from the start — learning those stainless flats and hard folds on real customer vehicles while most shops had never seen one in person.

People drove two hours to get there.

Customers took delivery of their Cybertrucks in Leesburg and Manassas, Virginia, and then drove more than two hours past every wrap shop in Northern Virginia and the DMV to drop them with us in Frederick.

That is the whole argument for this business in one sentence. Nobody drives two hours for a wrap they could get properly done nearby.

You may know us by an older name.

This shop has traded under three names. It started as ModelWrapped, became SpaceShip Wraps, and is now Tesla Wrapper — same people, same hands, same bay. A few cars in the gallery still wear an old decal.

The name changed because the work narrowed. We wrap Teslas, almost exclusively, and a name that says so is more use to somebody searching than one that does not.

If you find reviews, photographs or listings under either earlier name, they are ours. We would rather tell you that than have you wonder.

Some of them we met at the Supercharger.

One Cybertruck owner we met while charging in Frederick had driven up from Northern Virginia. He booked the wrap on the strength of a conversation next to a charging stall, and came back when it was time.

That’s our account, not his — his review is below, in his own words.

I had an overwhelmingly positive experience as a client of Tesla Wrapper. Raoul paid particular attention to my unique request for custom vinyl hood wrapping, and used a masterful artistic eye to make it happen! I’m very impressed with the customer service, pricing, and willingness to customize requests. He went above and beyond what I could’ve hoped for. I would recommend without hesitation for any luxury car owner, especially Tesla owners!

Jeremie P.

Met Raoul at a Supercharger and after a brief intro wanted to work with him to wrap my new Cybertruck. Really glad I did and happy with how everything turned out. I will do business again when it’s time and recommend giving him a chance to earn your business. He listens and delivers but best of all stands behind his work.

4101 Harvard Place, Unit B, Frederick, MD 21703That location is closed. It’s here because it’s checkable, not because you can visit it.

Ashburn, Virginia is the studio now — private, appointment only, and the one every car goes to today. New Jersey is being prepared as a second location and is not open yet. The people who drove two hours to Frederick are the reason we think that model works.
