How much does it costto wrap a Tesla?
The short answer is five numbers, and they are published rather than quoted on request. The longer answer is what moves them, and which one you should actually be looking at.

Starting prices, not final prices
They are starting prices and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Final pricing follows a review of the actual vehicle, the coverage, the film and the condition of the car.
Where the film comes from
We buy our film through Grimco, an authorized 3M™ and Avery Dennison® distributor. Buying through the manufacturers’ own distributor is what makes a roll traceable: a real order number, a lot we can produce, film stored and shipped as the manufacturer intends, and a warranty claim somebody will actually honor. It is also why we will not install film a customer brings us — we have no way to know how old it is, how it was stored, or what lot it came from.
That is also why a quote names a product — 3M™ Wrap Film Series 2080, 3M™ Protection Wrap Film, Avery Dennison® Supreme Wrapping™ Film SW900, Avery Dennison® Conform Chrome SF100 — and a product code, rather than a color and an adjective.

The prices in words, and how each one is paid
The published figures are Color-change vinyl from $7,000, 3M™ Protection Wrap Film from $11,000, Paradox Supreme Color PPF at $13,500 paid in full, Avery Dennison® Conform Chrome from $15,000 and TeslaWrapper™ Space Film from $2,500. Every one of them except Paradox Supreme Color PPF carries a deposit that is applied to the project total rather than charged on top of it; Paradox is paid in full, which is the one real difference in how they are bought.
Two of these do the same job. Protection Wrap Film and Paradox Supreme Color PPF are both colored paint protection film, and the honest answer to why one is $2,500 more is that they are different products from different manufacturers with different color ranges and a different install — not that one protects more. Paradox is also the only one paid in full rather than deposit-and-balance. We have not installed a Paradox wrap yet; 3M is the film we have the most work behind us on.
The counter-intuitive part
The most expensive service is the least protective one. Chrome is appearance only — it adds no meaningful impact protection, and it costs the most because it is the least forgiving film there is to install, not because it does more.
If protecting the paint is what you actually want, the $11,000 film is the one that does it, and the $15,000 one is not an upgrade on it. Anybody selling you chrome as protection is selling you something else.
What moves the final number
The same film on two different cars is two different jobs. What changes it:
- Which Tesla — a Cybertruck is not a Model 3
- The film brand, product, color and finish
- Design complexity and any custom graphics
- The condition of the paint underneath
- Whether there is an existing wrap to remove first
- Where the installation happens
The costs people forget
Removing an existing vinyl wrap is a separate $3,500 fee in Northern Virginia, and $3,500 plus travel outside it. It is not included in any of the published project prices, and unusually difficult removal — baked film, multiple layers, heavy adhesive — is reviewed and priced before work starts rather than renegotiated with the car half stripped.
Mobile installation carries a travel fee on top of the project once you are outside our home area — Loudoun, Fairfax, Arlington and Prince William counties, plus the independent cities inside them — Alexandria, Falls Church, Fairfax City, Manassas and Manassas Park, where there is none. Bringing the car to the studio never carries one.
Why a cheap wrap is expensive
A wrap is mostly labor, and the labor is where a cheap quote is coming from. Panels not taken to their edges, film cut short on the face of a panel instead of tucked into the gap, no post-heating on stretched recesses — all of it is invisible on collection day and all of it shows up in month four.
The other place it comes from is the film. We buy our film through Grimco, an authorized 3M™ and Avery Dennison® distributor. We buy it that way because our labor and the material are one product, and we cannot stand behind an install on a roll whose age and storage we know nothing about.
How much does it cost to wrap a Tesla?
Budget from $7,000 for a color change and from $11,000 if you want the paint protected too — or from $2,500 for our own budget line, which carries no published lifespan or warranty. Add $3,500 if there is an old wrap to come off. Treat any full-vehicle quote far below those as a question about what is being left out, not a bargain.
