The same work, closer to you.

Travel installs are the studio standard, run from a controlled indoor space in your market.

Travel

What a travel wrap adds.

The wrap itself is priced exactly as it would be at the studio. What travel adds is the cost of getting there and back with the tools.

If we drive to you
$750 on top of the project price
If we fly
$1,500 on top of the project price

A travel wrap is typically completed in 2–3 days — shorter than the studio’s 2–7 day range because we work continuously while we are in your market rather than fitting it around other cars.

Which applies depends on where you are. We will tell you which before you commit to anything, and it is confirmed in writing with your quote.

These fees apply to both travel products. Which one you are buying decides what you have to provide — at a destination event we arrange the space; at an at-home install your garage has to meet the requirements below.

A destination studio that travels — not a mobile service

Travel Wraps are scheduled destination installation events performed at an approved professional indoor facility secured for the event. We do not wrap vehicles in driveways, parking lots, hotel garages or any uncontrolled outdoor environment.

What to expect

Before you request

  • Tesla only — Cybertruck, Model 3 and Model Y.
  • Premium 3M and Avery Dennison films, installed by hand.
  • 2–3 days for a travel install — we work continuously while we are in your market, rather than the 2–7 days a studio job takes around other cars.
  • Appointment only, at an approved indoor facility.
  • Transportation options may be available depending on the market — concierge pickup is not automatically included.
  • Travel dates are limited and subject to demand, project approval and facility availability.
Bring Tesla Wrapper to your city

Request a Travel Wrap

If enough Tesla owners in your area are interested, Tesla Wrapper may add your market to a future Travel Wrap schedule. This is a request and a demand signal — not a guaranteed booking, and not a confirmed travel date.

Destination

Travel Wraps are limited destination installation events held at an approved professional indoor facility. Listing a market is not a commitment to travel — events are activated only when there is sufficient demand.

Timing

Travel dates are limited and subject to sufficient demand, project approval and facility availability. Typical installation turnaround is 2–7 days depending on project scope.

Two ways this works

Our building, or yours.

Both are travel. They differ in whose space the car is wrapped in, which is what decides whether anything is required of you.

Our facility.

Destination installation event

We secure an approved professional indoor facility in the market and run a block of installs from it. You bring your Tesla to us, the same as visiting a studio — just closer to you.

  • We arrange the space, the power and the conditions
  • Nothing required of your home or garage
  • Dates are announced once a market is activated

This is what runs in South Florida and Los Angeles.

Your garage.

At-home installation

We come to your house and install in your own garage. It is the more convenient option and the more demanding one, because the space has to meet the conditions the film needs.

  • A fully enclosed garage, held at 70°F or above
  • Three to five feet of clear walking space on every side of the vehicle
  • Lighting and access to power
  • Owner-occupied single-family properties only

We check your specific space before approving it, and we would rather reschedule than wrap into conditions that will cost you the result.

Travel is a flat addition to the project price — $750 if we drive to you, $1,500 if we fly. Which one applies depends on where you are, and it is confirmed in writing with your quote before you commit to anything.

At-home installs only

What your garage has to be.

Mobile installation is available only at a single-family detached house with a private garage that you own. The garage has to give us room to work and an environment the film can actually be installed in — that is not a preference, it is what decides whether the wrap holds.

  • A single-family detached home you own
  • A private, fully enclosed garage
  • Adequate workspace — three to five feet clear on every side of the vehicle
  • Garage held at 70°F or above, before we arrive and throughout the installation
  • Clean, dry conditions and adequate lighting
  • Safe access to electricity for installation equipment
  • Location approval — we review the property before agreeing to travel

Cold weather? No problem.

Your garage needs to be at 70°F or above when we arrive and to stay there while we work. You do not need permanent heating to manage that — a temporary garage heater is fine, and plenty of customers buy one from Home Depot or Lowe’s for the day.

Start it well in advance — often several hours, depending on the size of the garage, how well it is insulated, how cold it is outside and what the heater can do. A cold car in a cold garage does not warm through in twenty minutes. We check the actual temperature when we arrive rather than assuming.

If the garage is not at temperature when we get there, we will either reschedule or move the project to Ashburn. Neither of us wants a wrap installed into conditions that will cost you the result.

Safely, please. Use equipment rated for an enclosed garage and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. No open flames, nothing that burns fuel unless it is rated and vented for the space, no improvised heaters, no daisy-chained extension cords, and do not block ventilation. Operating the heater safely is your responsibility, and if anything about the setup looks unsafe on the day we will stop.

If it’s hot, the garage has to be cooled — same rule, other end.

A wrap has a temperature band, not a minimum. 3M specifies 60–90°F for Series 2080 and recommends 65–75°F for Protection Wrap Film. An unconditioned garage in Florida, Texas or inland California sits well above that for months at a time, and a panel too hot to work is as disqualifying as a panel too cold.

Film goes soft and over-stretches on a hot panel, adhesive grabs before it can be positioned, and the finish records every correction. It is the same failed visit as a cold garage, arrived at from the opposite direction.

Can it be done outside? Yes. Should it? Usually not.

We can wrap outdoors and we have. But every speck of dust, pollen or grit that lands on a panel between cleaning and film is a speck that ends up under the wrap permanently — you feel it before you see it, and the only fix is redoing the panel.

Wind moves debris onto a prepared surface faster than you can lay film. Direct sun heats panels unevenly and makes the film behave differently across the same door. Temperature swings and any hint of moisture make it worse again.

Standing a few feet back, an outdoor wrap and an indoor one look the same. Up close, on the right light and the right panel, you may find the odd fleck of dust or grit sitting under the film. That is the difference — it is a close-inspection difference, not a walk-past one.

It is also worth knowing that nothing here touches your paint. The debris sits between the film and the panel, and when the film comes off the vehicle goes back to how it was underneath.

If an enclosed space genuinely is not an option, tell us and we will look at it — a still, overcast, warm day in a clean sheltered spot is a different proposition from a breezy driveway in spring. What we will not do is take the booking, wrap it outside in poor conditions, and let you find the grit later.

Travel wrap FAQ

Questions about traveling

Do you operate as a mobile wrap company?

Not in the sense of a van that wraps in a parking lot, no. There are two things we do away from the studio, and they are different purchases. A destination installation event runs from an approved professional indoor facility that we secure in your market — you bring the car to us. An at-home installation is in your own enclosed garage, if it meets the space and temperature requirements. What we do not do is wrap in driveways, parking lots or hotel garages, or anywhere the conditions are not controlled.

Which cities do you currently travel to?

South Florida (Miami and West Palm Beach) and Los Angeles are our initial target markets. Additional markets may be added based on customer demand. Ashburn, Virginia is our permanent home base today; the New Jersey studio is in preparation and is not open yet.

Can I request a city that isn’t listed?

Yes. Submit a Bring Us To Your City request. If sufficient demand develops in your area, Tesla Wrapper may schedule an event there.

Is there an additional travel charge?

Yes, and it is a flat figure rather than a variable one: $750 if we drive to you, $1,500 if we fly. That is on top of the project price, which is the same as it would be at the studio. Which of the two applies depends on where you are, and we tell you before you commit to anything.

Do I need to bring my Tesla to the installation facility?

Travel event logistics are provided with your confirmed appointment. Concierge pickup and delivery may be available separately in eligible markets — it is not automatically included with a Travel Wrap.

Is my travel request automatically confirmed?

No. Travel requests are reviewed first. A trip is not confirmed until Tesla Wrapper approves the project, activates the market and event, and confirms your appointment. Travel dates are limited and subject to sufficient demand, project approval and facility availability.

Ready to change the lookof your Tesla?

Tell us the model and the finish you have in mind. We’ll come back with a price and a realistic completion window — no obligation.
