Color-change vinyl

Change the color.Keep the car.

A full color change in premium 3M™ or Avery Dennison® film. The factory paint stays exactly where it is, underneath — which is why this works on a lease, and why it comes back off.

Is this the one

Who a color change is for

This is the one most people are actually after. It changes how the car looks and nothing else — it is not a protective film, and we will not sell it to you as one.

Choose this if

  • You want a different color, or a finish paint cannot do
  • The car is leased, or you want the option to go back to factory
  • You want gloss, satin, matte, a texture or a color shift
  • You care more about appearance than about stone-chip protection

Choose something else if

  • You mainly want the paint protected — that is 3M Protection Wrap Film
  • You want a mirror chrome finish — that is Conform Chrome
  • The paint underneath is loose, peeling or unstable
Our work

Cars we finished this way.

Every photograph on this site is a car we wrapped. Some carry our earlier name.

How it goes on

What a color change involves

Every panel is measured, cut, laid, worked out from the anchored area, trimmed, tucked and post-heated. Doors are the quick ones. Bumpers with compound curves are not.

  • Full or partial coverage, priced per project
  • Panel gaps and edges tucked so no original color shows
  • Post-heating on stretched areas so the film stays where it was put
  • Trim, badges and handles addressed rather than wrapped around

Remove → Lay → Stretch → Finish

A precision installation approach we use to keep film placement, tension and finishing under control as a panel goes on.

Pricing

From $6,000

A $1,000 deposit reserves the project and comes off the total. Final pricing is set after we review the vehicle, the coverage, the film and the condition of the car.

Removing an existing vinyl wrap is a separate $1,000 fee in Northern Virginia — it is not included in the $6,000.

Existing vinyl wrap removal — $1,000

Already have a wrap on your Tesla? We can remove it before your new installation.

  • Northern Virginia: $1,000 flat removal fee.
  • Outside Northern Virginia: the $1,000 removal fee plus travel, quoted for your location and agreed before travel is confirmed.

It does not cover every situation. Unusually difficult removal, excessive adhesive, multiple layers, severely deteriorated film or other abnormal conditions are reviewed and priced before work proceeds — we tell you, we do not surprise you.

Asked and answered

The awkward questions.

How long does a Tesla color change last?

Durability is the film manufacturer’s figure, not ours, and it varies by color, finish and how the car is kept. 3M publishes a warranty on Series 2080 that runs up to 8 years on vertical surfaces and 3 years horizontal depending on zone — that is 3M’s warranty on their material, covering the original purchaser, not transferable, and it expressly excludes paint pull during removal. Our own workmanship commitment is 12 months.

Will a wrap damage my Tesla’s paint?

A wrap goes over paint, not into it, and the paint is untouched while the film is on. The honest risk sits at removal, and it depends entirely on the paint it was stuck to. Factory paint in good condition is the best case; a previous respray or somebody else’s repair is where removal gets genuinely risky. We inspect for that before installing rather than finding out at the end.

Can I change just the roof, or just the chrome trim?

Yes. Partial coverage — a roof, a hood, a chrome delete, accent trim — is priced per project rather than off the full-wrap figure. A chrome delete on its own is the single change that most reliably makes a Tesla look deliberate, and it is the cheapest way to find out whether you like living with a wrapped car.
