The rear quarters are the job.
A Model Y looks like a simple shape until you try to lay film on the rear quarters. They curve in two directions at once, and film that is over-stretched to make that corner will pull back and lift months later. It is the panel that separates a wrap that holds from one that creeps.
Post-heating those panels is what sets the film so it stops trying to return to its old shape. It is the step people skip, and it is the reason our installation warranty is a real commitment rather than a hopeful one.
Every curve has to be accounted for.

Why is the Model Y the one you wrap most?
It is the most common Tesla on the road here, and it is the one people most often want to look different from every other one in the car park. That repetition is the point: we have made the mistakes this shape invites on our own time rather than on your car.
Should I get vinyl or paint protection film?
If you want it to look different, color-change vinyl. If you want it to look different AND resist stone chips, Protection Wrap Film — it is paint protection film that comes in color, about twice the thickness, and it costs accordingly. Thicker is not automatically better; it matters when you want protection, not just color.
Will the film lift on the rear quarters?
Not if it is post-heated properly, which is exactly why we do it. Film stretched into a curve wants to pull back, and heat past its forming temperature is what resets it. Our installation warranty runs 12 months and covers lifting, seam separation and peeling caused by the install.
Can you wrap the roof only?
Yes. A roof wrap or a partial is a common first step, and a much smaller commitment than a full color change. Text us what you are picturing.
