Wrapping a Tesla in New York City is mostly a logistics problem. Curbside space is scarce, garage clearance is tight, and leaving a car somewhere for several days is the part that usually stalls the whole idea. TeslaWrapper is built for exactly that customer: a specialized studio you plan a trip around, rather than the nearest shop with an open bay.

The trip from the five boroughs
Manhattan, Brooklyn or Queens is roughly two hundred and fifty miles — call it four and a half to five and a half hours depending on the tunnels and the Turnpike. It is a straightforward run, and some clients split it into two trips rather than one long wait — though from the city that is four legs of the same drive, and we are not going to call four and a half hours short. If parking the car with us is the sticking point, concierge collection is the answer we are building — it is coming soon rather than available, and until it opens a city owner drives down. Mobile is not a published route here, so it is quoted for the project rather than priced off the list — and for most New York owners the drive is the honest answer.

Garage-friendly finishes
Satin and matte films show scuffs differently from gloss, which matters when a car lives in a tight structured garage. We will talk through how each finish behaves before you commit to one.
Finish reads before color
On a city street, finish does more work than color. Satin holds the shape of a panel under streetlights where gloss just mirrors them, and it hides the marks a car parked outside picks up.
One trip, planned properly
Appointment only means your slot is held. You are not dropping the car into a queue and hoping.
What we wrap
Model 3, Model Y and Cybertruck. Those three are what we take, and doing the same three repeatedly is how you learn where each one fights a wrap before it happens on somebody’s car. The Cybercab is the fourth car we have a position on: reservations are open, and nobody has wrapped one yet — us included. We no longer take the Model S or Model X.
What we use
Five films: Color-change vinyl from $7,000, 3M™ Protection Wrap Film from $11,000, Paradox Supreme Color PPF at $13,500 paid in full, Avery Dennison® Conform Chrome from $15,000 and TeslaWrapper™ Space Film from $2,500. Full-vehicle coverage only — we do not do partials, roof-only work or two-tone treatments. We buy our film through Grimco, an authorized 3M™ and Avery Dennison® distributor. No bargain vinyl, no mystery materials.
How long it takes
Most projects run two to three days with the car, and a larger one can run to seven, depending on project scope — the model, removal of any existing wrap, custom graphics, and the film and finish selected. Your estimated completion time is confirmed with your quote and appointment.
If the drive doesn’t work
Concierge collection is coming soon and is not available yet. The idea is that Raoul collects your Tesla personally, brings it to the studio and returns it — driven, with the odometer and condition photographed at your address before it moves. What is holding it up is coverage: driving a customer’s car is the one thing we do where the absence of a commercial policy genuinely matters, so it opens when that is in place and not before.
Until then the studio in Ashburn is the route. This is not one of our established travel markets, so mobile here is quoted for the project rather than priced off the list — we will look at it, and we are not going to imply otherwise.
If traveling to a studio does not work at all, our Travel Wrap program runs limited destination installation events in select markets. Dates are limited and subject to sufficient demand, project approval and facility availability.

Two routes here — travel, or drive in.
New York City is not one of our established travel markets yet, which changes how it is quoted rather than whether we come. We travel nationwide for qualified projects and price travel per project outside an established market — ask and we will give you a real figure. Plenty of owners drive in instead, and we have written up the whole trip: how long we keep the car, why an out-of-state car goes to the front of the queue and stays there, where people stay, and what we do not arrange for you.
And if you would rather we came to New York City: say so. Markets get added when enough people ask for the same one, so a request that goes nowhere today is still the thing that decides where we go next.
If our workmanship fails inside the twelve months and you are a long way away, you do not have to make the trip twice: drive the car back to Ashburn and the rework is free, or we come to you for a $250 charger credit — once, inside the twelve months, with labor and material ours either way.
New York City questions
Do you have a shop in New York City?
No. TeslaWrapper does not have a location in New York City, and there is no nearer one coming. The studio that is open — and the studio every car goes to — is our private appointment-only installation studio in Ashburn, Northern Virginia. We serve customers traveling from NYC, which is a drive to Ashburn rather than a shop near you, and we would rather say so plainly.
Can you collect my Tesla from Manhattan?
Not yet. Concierge collection is coming soon rather than available — driving a customer’s car is the one thing we do where the absence of commercial coverage genuinely matters, so it opens when a policy is in place. For now a Manhattan owner drives down — mobile is not the fallback here, because New York is not a market we travel to. Ask us where concierge stands and we will tell you straight.
