See the Work. Then Build the Business.
We don’t evaluate installers based on certificates alone. We review the work, evaluate the person, and — when appropriate — see the installation process in person.
Before you represent the brand, we need to see the work.
We advance one phase at a time. Not everyone moves forward, and not every applicant will receive a response.
Candidates who move forward may be invited to complete hands-on installations as part of our evaluation process.
Before someone represents the Tesla Wrapper brand, we want to see what they can actually do.
The four phases
- 01
Portfolio review
You send examples of previous work. We look at installation quality, edge finishing, seams, complex panels, bumpers, trim, surface preparation, overall consistency and professionalism.
Most submissions stop here, and that is not a judgement on you — it is usually about market, timing or current need.
- 02
Interview and qualification
Candidates who look like a potential fit may be contacted for further evaluation. A conversation about experience, how you work, where you are, and what you are trying to build.
Being contacted is not an offer of anything. It is a conversation.
- 03
In-person installation
If we decide to move a candidate forward, they may be asked to complete installation work in person, so we can evaluate hands-on ability under our quality standards and under real working conditions.
Structured one stage at a time — never several vehicles booked at once. See how this works below.
- 04
Brand qualification
Only after we have personally evaluated a candidate’s work and are satisfied it meets the standard does a candidate potentially advance toward representing the brand.
Brand authorization happens through business agreements and an approval process — not by completing an evaluation.
How the in-person evaluation works
One stage at a time. A single vehicle or task, evaluated, and then a decision about whether there is a next one. We do not schedule several vehicles up front.
- Vehicle or task assigned
- Work completed
- Evaluated
- If approved, a further task may be assigned
- Final qualification decision
We don’t need to watch you wrap an entire car every time. Sometimes the best way to evaluate an installer is to give them a specific panel or difficult section and see how they handle it.
We may select the vehicle, panel, section or task, and we may choose different tasks at different stages to evaluate different skills. Do not assume you will be asked to wrap a whole vehicle.
What you might be asked to wrap
- An entire vehicle
- A specific panel
- A bumper
- A hood
- A fender
- A door
- A mirror
- A difficult contour
- Another section selected by us
On which vehicle
- Tesla Model 3
- Tesla Model Y
- Tesla Cybertruck
The vehicle may be selected or assigned from whichever of these is available, and the vehicle and task may vary between stages.
A candidate may be asked to complete additional evaluations before we decide whether they are ready to move forward. Completing one evaluation does not guarantee advancement, employment, partnership, franchise approval, customer work, or brand authorization.
Installing well and running a business are different questions
Franchise consideration is separate from installer qualification. Wrapping vehicles successfully does not by itself lead to employment, partnership, franchise approval, territory, brand authorization or future work. A franchise candidate may also be asked to demonstrate operational, management, financial and business qualifications alongside installation ability — and a superb installer is not automatically someone who should run a location.
Representing the brand
Nobody may present themselves publicly as an authorized Tesla Wrapper location, or as an official Tesla Wrapper installer, because they submitted a portfolio or completed an evaluation. Brand authorization happens only after the appropriate business agreements and approval process are complete. Before an installer performs customer work under our name, we have to be satisfied with the quality and consistency of their actual work.
We receive a high volume of submissions. Our team reviews submissions based on current business needs, experience, portfolio quality, location, and other factors. Because we receive many submissions, we cannot respond to every applicant. Submission of your work does not guarantee a response, interview, employment, partnership, or franchise opportunity.
This information is not an offer to sell, or the solicitation of an offer to buy, a franchise. A franchise may only be offered by a Franchise Disclosure Document, and in registration states only after filing. No financial performance representation is made anywhere on this site.
