Cybertruck

Cybertruck.Thirteen unforgiving panels.

Large stainless flats with nowhere to hide a seam, which makes this the least forgiving vehicle we take and the one where satin does the most work. Color-change vinyl starts at $7,000, the same as any other Tesla, and the final project total is confirmed after we review your truck.

Wrapped, next to not. Same trucks, same light, same afternoon — which is the only honest way to show what film does.

What we can put on a Cybertruck.

Three services, and they are not versions of each other. Every figure below is where the project starts.

Color-change vinyl

Changes the color. It is not sold as impact protection, and we will not sell it to you as one.

Choose it if: You want a different car to look at, and you want the factory paint untouched underneath.

3M™ Protection Wrap Film

Quoted against the actual vehicle

Paint protection film in color — thicker than vinyl, and one of the two films here that protect the paint as well as change it. 3M state light marks self-level with heat.

Choose it if: You want the color change and you want the front end to survive the highway.

On a bare Cybertruck, 3M does not warrant this film on stainless. We have done it and it can work — it simply sits outside the manufacturer’s warranty.

Color-change vinyl on a Cybertruck is $7,000, the same as any other Tesla. Protection Wrap Film and Conform Chrome are not: more surface is genuinely more material, so those sit above the $11,000 and $15,000 figures rather than at them, and we quote them against the actual truck.

Avery Dennison® Conform Chrome

Quoted against the actual vehicle

A mirror finish. Appearance only — it costs the most because it is the hardest film there is to install, not because it does more.

Choose it if: You want the finish and you know it is not protection.

This is the starting price for a standard project. The final project total is confirmed after we review the vehicle, the coverage, the film and the condition of the paint, and any travel is quoted separately. Your deposit is applied toward that total.

Swatches are approximate. Screens vary, and metallic, pearl and color-flip films change with the light — no flat swatch can represent them. Ask us about a physical sample if color accuracy matters to your project.

The kit

A Cybertruck is 13 panels.

Your car is not one surface. Each panel is cut from its own pattern and worked across 3 sessions of about four hours.

One generation so far, so there is no variant question — but the panels are unlike any other vehicle we take.

12 months from the day you collect the vehicle on our workmanship, on the car we installed and for the person we installed it for. What it covers, and what it does not.

The install

Large flats and hard folds.

What takes the time on a Cybertruck

The Cybertruck is the least forgiving vehicle we wrap. Those big flat panels show every mistake — a stretch mark, a lifted edge, a seam that wanders — because there is no curve to hide it in. The folds decide whether the whole truck reads sharp or soft.

If your priority is keeping the stainless rather than changing it, paint protection film is the other route — but 3M does not warrant Protection Wrap Film on bare stainless. We have done it and it works; it simply sits outside the manufacturer’s warranty. Color-change vinyl is the warranted route on this truck and it is what most people should take.

Where the time goes

  • Large flat panels, where any flaw is visible from across a parking lot
  • Hard folds that have to stay crisp rather than rounding off
  • Panel transitions and the gaps between them
  • Edges tucked so no stainless shows at the boundary

Cybertruck questions

Asked by Cybertruck owners.

Will a wrap stop the fingerprints?

Yes. Film covers the panel completely, so the surface people touch is film rather than bare stainless. Which finish you choose then decides how much you still see — satin is by far the most forgiving, gloss the least.

Can you wrap a Cybertruck in paint protection film instead?

We can, and we have. What we will not do is tell you it is covered when it is not: 3M states Protection Wrap Film is not recommended for and not warranted on stainless steel substrates. That is their document, hosted on our resources page, and you should read it before choosing.

Does the wrap come off the stainless cleanly?

Film is designed to be removable, and there is no paint underneath to pull. The usual removal risks on a painted car — old paint, a previous respray, prior bodywork — do not apply to bare stainless panels. We still look at the specific truck rather than promising an outcome.

Can you wrap just the roof, or do a two-tone?

No. We do full-vehicle color changes only — no roof-only, no hood-only, no accent panels and no two-tone treatments, on their own or as an add-on. On a Cybertruck people ask about this more than any other model, usually for a blacked-out roof or a two-tone flank, and the answer is the same: a partial is a different job with different edges. If that is what you want, a good local shop is the right call.

How long does a Cybertruck take?

Longer than a sedan. Most projects run two to three days and a larger one can run to seven; a Cybertruck sits at the longer end because of the panel area. Booking is typically 4–8 weeks out; both numbers are confirmed with your quote.
