Smoked sequential LED tail lights
A pair of smoked LED tail light assemblies with a sequential turn signal and a start-up animation, advertised by the manufacturer for the pre-refresh Model 3.
Fitment on every car below is not settled.
- Model 3 — 2017–2023, per the manufacturer Not settled.
- Model Y — 2017–2023, per the manufacturer Not settled.
What is unsettled is set out below. Nobody here has held one of these against a car.
Available by order, subject to fitment and supplier availability. Nothing here is held in stock.
This part sits on a safety system.
- It sits on the rear brake lights and turn signals, which are federally regulated lighting equipment.
We will not tell you it still works afterward. Nobody here has tested this part against those systems, a product description is not a test, and a page that promised otherwise would be guessing with something that is not ours to guess with.
What happens instead: compatibility with your specific car is checked before anything is ordered, the work goes to someone qualified to do it, and if the check does not come back clean the answer is no and you have spent nothing.

These are the manufacturer’s own photographs of the part, not photographs of work this shop has done. Several carry the maker’s sales copy burned into the image. We have not fitted one of these to a car and photographed it, and when we do, that photograph will say so.
- Model 3
- 2017–2023, per the manufacturerFitment unresolved — see the open question below. One assembly is advertised for both the Model 3 and the Model Y. Every photograph shows a Model 3 sedan. Which car this part is actually cut for has to be settled against a real car before anybody orders one.
- Model Y
- 2017–2023, per the manufacturerFitment unresolved — see the open question below. No supplied photograph shows this part on a Model Y, and the Model Y tail light is not the same part as the Model 3 tail light.
What the manufacturer advertises
The manufacturer’s claims about their own part, reproduced. Nobody here has tested one of them.
- Sequential turn signal with a start-up animation
- Running light
- Reverse light
- Brake light
What nobody has settled yet
Published rather than smoothed over. Each of these is resolved against your car before anything is ordered.
- The housing is molded with a rear fog function. US-market Teslas do not use a rear fog lamp, which suggests a part built for another market.
- Two files staged with this product are photographs of a different product altogether — a four-door multi-touch handle kit. They are not shown here and the gallery may therefore be short of frames.
There is no price on this page. The installer has not given us labor rates for accessory work, so any figure here would be half a number — and a part price without fitting beside it reads as the installed price. Ask and you get the whole thing or nothing.
Available by order, subject to fitment and supplier availability. Nothing here is held in stock.
