10.26-inch portable CarPlay display with cameras

A standalone 10.26-inch screen with a front camera and a rear camera, mounted on the dash with a bracket and powered separately. It sits in the car alongside the factory touchscreen and has nothing to do with it.

Available by order, subject to fitment and supplier availability. Nothing here is held in stock.

This part sits on a safety system.

  • It sits on the driver’s view out of the windshield, and the deployment path of the passenger airbag, both of which depend entirely on where it ends up mounted.

We will not tell you it still works afterward. Nobody here has tested this part against those systems, a product description is not a test, and a page that promised otherwise would be guessing with something that is not ours to guess with.

What happens instead: compatibility with your specific car is checked before anything is ordered, the work goes to someone qualified to do it, and if the check does not come back clean the answer is no and you have spent nothing.

Mounts with adhesive, per the manufacturer.

Adhesive bracket or suction mount, per the manufacturer — their account of their part, not our survey of your car.

These are the manufacturer’s own photographs of the part, not photographs of work this shop has done. Several carry the maker’s sales copy burned into the image. We have not fitted one of these to a car and photographed it, and when we do, that photograph will say so.

What the manufacturer advertises

The manufacturer’s claims about their own part, reproduced. Nobody here has tested one of them.

  • Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Mirror Link screen mirroring
  • A front camera and a wired rear camera
  • Built-in speaker, FM transmitter and an AUX output

What has to be true of your car

  • This is a separate screen that sits in the car. It does not connect to, control, read from or appear on your Tesla’s own touchscreen, cameras, software or controls, and nothing it does is integrated with the car.
  • It needs its own power, and the rear camera needs a cable run from the back of the car to the front.

What nobody has settled yet

Published rather than smoothed over. Each of these is resolved against your car before anything is ordered.

  • Where it can be mounted has not been settled, and it is not a free choice: the bracket has to clear the airbag deployment path, it must not sit in the driver’s view of the road, and the camera cable has to be routed somewhere that does not interfere with either. All three are assessed on your specific car before any quote.
  • This gallery is short: fewer photographs of this part reached us than exist, and none of the missing ones has been chased down.
  • Not one supplied photograph shows this unit in a Tesla. Two of them are plainly another manufacturer’s interior.

There is no price on this page. The installer has not given us labor rates for accessory work, so any figure here would be half a number — and a part price without fitting beside it reads as the installed price. Ask and you get the whole thing or nothing.
